I just checked out Sergei Sviatchenko’s lovely art/fashion project Close Up And Private and found some great pictures of 2 bow ties that I’ve made. I have to take up sewing ties/bow ties again when I have some spare time on my hands.

We bought a kid size skateboard to teach one of our dogs to skate. Of course I had to try it out.

Made another custom tie. I get pretty caught up in the details, like the 4-folding, handrolled edges and braided bar tack. Pretty happy with the result.

This is what the bow ties look like before pressing.

Made a new bow tie today in one of my favourite fabrics.

Made a new tweed bow tie model with hand rolled edges (a great idea pitched by Archibald of The Drones Club). Damn near impossible to roll the edges when using tweed, so the next one will be made from a less coarse fabric.

More details of this model will come, but you will have to check TDC for that.

Made a pocket square while I was at it.

Made a bow tie for an old friend.

Looking through the pictures on my computer I found these. They are of a bag that I made about a year ago. Pretty crazy project as I had hardly sewn anything before I started making this. Not to blow my own horn but I freakin’ made this without any drawings, templates or anything.

Haha, who am I trying to kid with the pretense modesty, I’m proud as hell of some of this (although I would have made several details quite different today).
